Scott 340B Repair And Restoration

50 years old and in need of some repair and restoration work.

This Scott 340B appears to be as it left the factory. After 50 years this receiver needs components replaced to operate at original specifications.

I used under chassis capacitors to replace the can capacitors. The original can capacitors were left in place.

New coupling capacitors for the Scott 340B.

Just about all done under here. It look many hours of labor but now this Scott 340B can now operate reliably for many years.

Doing some bench testing before I put the Scott 340B vacuum tube receiver back together.

50 components were replaced in this Scott 340B receiver including the bridge rectifier, diodes and capacitors.

Always use respected names for your replacement components. Just pennies more for the piece of mind.

I did some tube testing and replacing. Now this Scott 340B receiver is ready to sing.

I'm about ready to power up this Scott 340B tube receiver and then I'll do some testing with my ears.

Looking good and sounding good. This Scott 340B is ready to start it's next 50years! This repair and restoration is complete.
